7 lbs 14 ozs.
18 1/2 inches long

That smile on my face is evidence of modern medicine... I LOVED getting to the hospital soon enough for an epidural! And that is pure joy without the searing pain.

Mary is adjusting... this is going to take some getting used to, but she is going to be alright, she's very helpful when she wants to be.

These are her new "big sister" pj's... she's a natural!

Safe and Sound.

Swollen

This is honestly the perfect way to describe how I feel right now. Yes, these are my nasty swollen feet. And my cankles. I did post them.

Just in case you were wondering... my feet don't usually look like this. The countdown to the due date is on... 8 more days. That doesn't really mean my baby will be here by then, but it's all I have to hold on to, so I'm hoping. For my sausage toes' sake. Among other reasons.

Farewell

The weather here has been telling me that it is still August/ beginning of September. Today was the first day that it really felt like fall. Usually after summer is gone, things slow down, we get into a routine, and life is more predictable. Maybe it's the unseasonal hot weather, but none of those things have happened yet.

I guess I have been so busy obsessively NESTING that I haven't had time to stop and breathe after summer. Baby is due 3 weeks from today... and the intensity of this NESTING is not letting up. Maybe I'll post about the projects I've been working on, maybe I'll just finish them and put them behind me. Either way, the crisp air outside feels really good. Fall is here. Change is in the air...

This is one of my favorite photos of Mary at the beach this summer... I may as well post it and bid summer 2010 goodbye.
It was a wonderful summer, thank you sun, for making me happy. Thank you heat for warming me up. Thank you friends, thank you family, for such good times. Now I am officially ready (well almost ready) to cuddle up in sweats and hold a brand new little one.
